A Module Ontology of the St Andrews Computer Science Curriculum

I was the individual developer of the Senior Honours Project - A Module Ontology of St Andrews Computer Science Curriculum supervised by Dr Roy Dyckhoff, in which an ontology was built using the Description Logic OWL-DL in the Protégé ontology editor and RACER inference engine.

The project as a whole was a success with all but one of the objectives being satisfied.  The ability to gather reasoning from the final implementation is discussed in the final report and it was concluded that a significant amount of reasoning is possible and with further development and refinement of the properties, the reasoning could be extremely useful.  These uses have been detailed in the further work section of the report.

All of Dr Colin Allison’s questions from the original project brief have been answered in the Evaluation section of the final report.
